Although it's going already the 3rd week of the new year, I still want to take some time to reflect on some of my most memorable moments from 2017. I can honestly say that year 2017 has been great to me. So many successes, so many accomplishments, so many enjoyable times. If I was blogging at the time, I would have made sure to write these posts during their specific time frame. But I am glad that I still have the memories and pictures to reflect back on today.

Being offered a Nursing job
I jumpstarted my career search during my senior year in college, only have applied to one position. A week after my interview, I was offered a job as a Registered Nurse as part of a Nursing Residency Program in Atlanta! This feeling was so joyful being that it is the exact position that I sought out for and hoped to obtain.
College Graduation
Graduating from college with a Bachelor’s in Science of Nursing will always be one of my proudest life accomplishments. Nursing school was definitely NOT easy and I definitely experienced many challenges in the process.

Graduation Party
Our family vacation trip destination was Key West, FL and Cuba. My mind was set on taking a cruise after graduation and we were fortunate to have found a good deal on Cuba Cruises with Royal Caribbean. This vacation was so fun and very much needed !
Passing the NCLEX
Passing my Board’s Exam for becoming a Licensed Registered Nurse on the first attempt has got to be my top best experience. Each time I reflect back on the whole experience of studying and preparing for this test, I remember how stressful and nerve wrecking it was. Passing the test on the first try gave me so much relief and satisfaction. I was glad to see how much my dedication and hard work have paid off.
July 10th was the date that I moved from Savannah to Atlanta to live on my own. I love my apartment and I am still adjusting to this adult life.
I began working as a nurse in the middle of July. And I can say that this experience of having a new career has been/ is a journey!

Turning 23! & Taking a birthday trip to Myrtle Beach, SC

So this year for my birthday, I was able to take a trip with my birthday-twin/ friend to Myrtle Beach, SC. We stayed at a resort on the beach, got to eat at some of their highest rated restaurants, walked on the popular Boardwalk, rode the SkyWheel, went clubbing, and went for a ride in a helicopter. Overall, it was a trip to remember!
